Independent Film (On The Job By Erik Matti)

We were also asked by our professor in Art Appreciation to watch at least one indie movie and compare it with one Metro Manila Film Festival entry. I chose to watch On The Job by Erik Matti because I love thriller movies.
This  is just a common police vs. bad guys movie that also shows how rampant the politicians abused their power. They used a convicted man to kill some of their political rivals.
Common independent movies are being starred by a not so famous actor/actress, but this independent movie's main cast are one of the most famous actors in the Philippines.
For an independent film, the effects are really good. I think this movie has a higher budget compared to other independent movies. The lightnings are not that dark. It has clearer audio. The camera is not that shaky.
All in all this indie film provided a great quality not just in audio and visual effects but also in terms of the story line.
